Julie Zavala-Marantette
I have been a make-up artist for over 10 years. Throughout these years I was trained by the best and largest cosmetic companies, salons and spas. I not only absorbed beauty knowledge, I also learned quite a bit about reasonable prices and customer satisfaction. I love what I do and have worked very hard to perfect my skills to give every client the best possible service! I started out as an artist experimenting with different types of tools and canvases further educating myself in two different colleges and graduating with 4.0 honors in Art. I moved on to drawing out tattoo art for friends, then I tried make-up. I flourished with the cosmetic tools and colors! I not only "wowed" people with my art work but now I "wowed" them with "beauty artistry". Art has played a big role in my talents as a Beauty Artist. It helps me know where to shadow, what colors to create to match every skin tone, and how to blend the most beautiful colors for the eyes! I have been told that I have "amazing" talent when it comes to make-up artistry. I love to see different faces; they are like a blank canvas to me. I was recently featured in the local paper for my talents and dedication to my work. I have been dabbling in every genre of make-up from weddings to theatre productions working with men and women of all ages, face painting both cheek art and full face art, temporary tattooing, make-up for photo shoots and more! While at Esprit on Wednesday, I will also offer temporary airbrushed fashion tattoos (price depends on complexity and number of colors). Choose from hundreds of stencil designs. These last up to 2 weeks. You can see examples of my makeup and tattoo work at http://juliezjem.webs.com/index.htm (still still under construction). Julie presents: Makeup Workshop This is a hands-on class that discusses makeup tools, types of makeup, application techniques, and use of color and light. Every student gets a makeup kit to practice with and take home. The class is limited to 20 students. |
